About the Artist
Doug Albright has been working in Stained Glass for over 20 years.

Doug took up stained glass while pursuing his MBA at Babson College in Wellesley, MA.

While living at "Maggie's Farm" in South Natick, MA, Doug started by foiling glass for Maggie's son, Robert(Pinky) Nelson, a talented Boston glass artist. Doug foiled glass at the lucrative rate of $.05 per piece and soon began helping Pinky out with other aspects of stained glass, learning glass cutting and the Tiffany Style, or copper foil method.

Soon after, both Pinky and Doug worked at Serpentino Stained Glass in Needham, MA, primarily working on restoration projects for churches and college buildings from Westerly and Providence, RI to Lowell, MA to Boston's North End and Boston College.

After receiving his MBA, Doug moved to southern Connecticut for several years and was married in 1985. In 1986 he and his wife moved to Rochester, NY and then to Canandaigua, NY where they have lived since 1987 with their two children.

After 20 years working in corporate Finance, Doug opened the Albright Glass Studio in November 2003
